Mortgage with Sister, now one is moving out

Hi,
I purchased a house 4 years ago with my sister which we were both living in but now I'm planning on moving out. I'd like to know how this will affect the mortgage repayments, Tax relief at source etc.

Will the revenue take into account that one of the mortgage holders still uses the house as their primary residence and allow us to keep TRS?

Well this is something that only your bank could answer. Personally I think that it was a mess carried forward from boom times at one point I was thinking of buying with my friend as well. Thank god that I did'nt went ahead otherwise it will be a nightmare to deal with now.

I would check with the Revenue as they are the ones you have the criteria.

I'd imagine your sister will keep her TRS as she is resident in the property.
