mortgage will we get one?

Hi we are going to apply for mortgage in July
We will have 25,000 saved, we pay 1000 rent for two years
I am working 30/35 hours a week on an 8 hour contact
Husband on 26 plus 33% shift allowance
We have one child
How much will the banks give us? We are only looking for maybe 150,000?

Is it a permanent job? What do you mean by an "8 hour contract"? Do you mean an 8 month contract?

The first question you should ask yourself is "How much can we afford to borrow?"

hi my employer only gives 8 hour contracts to cover themselves i suppose, i earned 19,000 last year so pretty rubbish wages, we pay 1000 rent soo could defnitely afford repayments on a mortgage.
