Mortgage Tax Relief

Hi there,

I may be repeating a topic but I can't find anything about this. As a FTB who will be drawing down their mortgage in a few months time, I wondered what steps do I need to take in order to apply for mortgage tax relief?

i.e what documentation etc is needed and who do I need to contact?

My wife and I were lucky enough to be able to pay off our primary residence mortgage early. However, we have since remortgaged the house and used the money to buy another house for the mother in law.

Are we entitled to claim tax relief on this mortgage?
