Mortgage - Tax Relief

Hello All

Me and my new wife have just purchased our first home, I have one question relating to the Mortgage tax relief that I hope can be answered:

Both of us earn €40k+ and was wondering is it possible to split the tax relief between us?

Your TRS will either be taken at source, or the bank will credit the TRS amount to your bank account after the full amount of the mortgage has been added. It will not be added to your tax credits, so no need to split anything between you and the wife!
