Mortgage protection while pregnant

Does anyone know if there are problems getting mortgage protection while being in the early stages of pregnancy without having any illness. I read on a few articles that insurance companies are very reluctant to provide cover during pregnancy. Are there any providers that fair this lightly during underwriting.

While I know that insurance companies can "discriminate" when assessing applications I wonder would discrimination on grounds of pregnancy when applying for life assurance not fall foul of equality legislation? Perhaps the Equality Authority might be able to tell you?

Provided that there are no complications with the pregnancy, it should not have an impact on your application for life assurance.
