Mortgage interest relief

hi folks , just looking for some advice.
Bought PPR in 2006 and am receiving mortgage interest relief which expires next year.
In 2014 I bought a run down property which I have done up and am hoping to move into next month. i took out a home loan to fund this purchase. I intend to rent out my original PPR upon which I would need to inform revenue about My non intitlement to the mortgage interest relief.
My question is can I switch the mortgage interest relief from my original PPR to my new property which will be my PPR ?

No, home loans advanced after 2012 do not qualify for MIR.

According to a report in the Independent, mortgage interest relief will be extended, for 3 years, beyond next year.
