I bought my ppr in 2002 on my own in my own name, tried to sell it last year but as i didn't manage to sell it, i've just registered with prtb and have tenants since the 25th jan, i assume i need to call and get my mortgage interest relief cancelled (?).
anyway I moved in to my husbands house, he purchased this house prior to us marrying - he purchased in his own name,
i think your entitled to 7 years relief ?? So
can i get my mortage interest relief transferred to be used on our marital home if i'm not named on the mortgage
Thanks

Yes - it is no longer an owner occupied PPR (Principal Private Residence) so you should stop claiming owner occupier mortgage interest relief.

When? You should have stopped claiming owner occupier mortgage interest relief on your own property when it ceased to be your PPR.

Yes - you (jointly) can claim married relief on your shared PPR mortgage. Just contact Revenue to give them the relevant details.
