Hi, we have been in our first house for three years and get the FTB mortgage interest relief. If we sell it and buy another house will we able to claim the remaining four years of the FTB interest relief?

is it not for seven years on your PPR regardless of whether your PPR changes in that period,
stamp duty and mortgage interest relief operate under entirely seperate rules from a Revenue perspective
i was referring to your original post on this thread not the second one.

Guess I was just trying to say that in your original post you should have said that you weren't 100% thereby inviting futher comment on the thread. Otherwise I think you run the risk of no one else responding and therefore anyone else reading the thread going away with possibly incorrect information. Just my opinon , take it or leave it
