Mortgage Interest Payment entitlement if out of work?

Im due to be let go at the end of the month after working for the same company for 4 and half years. Anyone know what benefits regarding the monthly payment of mortgage interest i would be entitled to and how do you qualify?....living on my own in own home, trying to rent out room at the moment but better chance when colleges start up again!.

really want to minimise risk of missing mortgage repayments as redundancy not going to cover much!.
