We are looking to purchase a property in Dublin and my Family will return home, I will remain working abroad for the next few years.

We require information on Mortgage Providers who will lend to Expats.

Also require contact details for a good Tax Accountant.

We would appreciate any assistance.

Kind regards

Most lenders will lend to Irish expats provided that you have saved a big deposit (30%+, 50% for some lenders) and can prove that you can afford the mortgage plus your commitments where you are.

There's another thread on this subject here.

I would recommend Tommy McGibney as a good tax accountant. He's been my firm's auditor and my own accountant for personal taxes for years. Very knowledgeable and professional. He contributes regularly to Askaboutmoney.com also.

Thankyou LDFerguson for an excellent thread, it was indeed very helpful. I have been in touch with Mr Tommy McGibney and feel very conffident he will be able to assist. Many thanks again.
