Hey,
Thinking about going for a mortgage soon but I' not in permanent employment ( Work for HSE and on yearly contracts at the moment). Have a deposit of about 15k and have always been a good saver and payed off any loan I 've ever had (1). Don't really want to go down the sub prime route but feel time is right in my life to have my own place. Any advice would be appreciated. Current salary is 40500 with app. 18 - 20k guaranteed overtime ( on call work).

Thanks in advance.

If you can show that rolling contracts are the nature of your employment and that you've been doing the same job for several years, you should be OK. Professional qualifications help too.

Have been doing job for a number of years, do have a professional qualification. Hopefully will be ok. Can only try anyway. Thanks
