Mortgage Brokers

Hello there,

A friend of mine had applied for mortgage in 2 different places(brokers). It was totally un-knowingly. Now what has happened is his application was rejected by one bank as they received application from 2 different places.

Now he is seriously worried if this happens once again. What do I suggest him?

Regards,

theres no need to be excessivle concerned, the lender has simply rejected the second application on the basis that they have already received an application from another broker.

Your friend should have informed the broker's that he is dealing with a few brokers, so that application duplication does not happen again.

I would hazard a guess that the lender was IIB? They will reject an application if it comes in from two brokers to avoid annoying either. He should write to the broker he wants to go with and they will pass this on and the application should be re-instated.
