To save you the hassel of phoning around I would go to a broker. Be sure to tell them you are looking for approval in principal for an affordable house. They will go to all banks and building society's and come back to you with your options and best rates.
I user the Irish Mortgage Corperation they were really good and did all the paper work for me - plus tey got me a better offer than when i applied my self to the IIB Home Loans.
Yep - Definitely use a Broker as they will take the hassle out of it for you!
The Bank all have different Credit Policies and ways of calculating your 'Net Income' etc. so rather than having your head wrecked by them - call a Broker who has a good reputation locally.
