Mortgage approval and a baby?

Hi all
I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this question but, will having a baby affect our mortgage approval in the future?
DH and I want to save more before buying, maybe next year, but we would like to try for a baby? And dont want to wait till next year.
Any advise would be great.
 
Some lenders will take the fact you have children into account when calculating how much they are willing to lend. They will subtract an amount from your net disposable income for each child that you have.
On the other hand some lenders are more lenient in relation to dependents.
 
Hi Cur.....Go ahead and make your own plans. Some lenders will factor in 250 Euro per month for each dependent, which is probably nothing compared to the actual cost of raising a family! As lenders credit policies are constantly changing, you just don't know how easy or difficult it will be to get a mortgage.
