Quick amatuer question regarding the amount of a mortgage a lender will advance. Have searched the forums a good bit and can't find the answer.
Looking at a property and was just wondering - if I was buying a property for €400k plus stamp duty of 6%, giving a total cost of €424k, can I get a mortgage for €424k or will the lender not go beyond the actual property cost?
Qualified chartered accountant if that makes any differences whatsoever.
Most banks will give a mortgage of 90% of the property value - some banks might stretch to 92% - however some banks do offer a 100% product - however none of the above include the stamp duty I know it's a bummer
