more renault laguna problems

i have a 01 renault laguna. just after getting full service, ball joints and a new timing belt put into the car. A couple of days later the clocks on the dash started to give trouble. All the warning lights would come on and the clocks would fail. the only way to fix this is to disconnect the battery and reconnect and then it would work fine for about 5 days.

i rang renault and they said i would have to get a new dash costing approx 550. just wondering if it is only renault that can do this and is is def the dash that needs replacing.

any help would be brilliant

Best bet is ti get a dash from a scrapyard, should only cost 50 euro or so.
Any good mechanic/auto electrician should be able to fit it...
