Anybody been to Montenegro recently & would they recommend it.
Have a week off in early June & would be keen to depart ex Cork. What currency is used there etc

It's very lovely, but with the referendum still hot off the presses and unsettled it might be as handy to stay just over the border in Dubrovnik. You can go with Croatia Tours from Cork, to both I believe.

Thanks Almo,
Yeah,I don't think much will happen after the result.Been to Croatia & Dubrovnik already-great part of the world.Have u been to Montenegro yourself?

I was there in February for meetings, out of season it's awful, much like any other place that thrives on the summer down there, but in the summer it is hopping, and keep an eye out for the Russian mafia, they own heaps and it's cool to sit with a beer and watch them flex their muscles and sit with the mistresses, makes the place all the more appealing I reckon!

Thanks Culchie,I know I'm pushing it,but any diving/snorkelling & how the hell do you get there!-I can't get a flight ex Dublin or Cork to Dubrovnik until Aug!

Feck, I was going to book myself this week, I checked last week and there seemed plenty availabilty :(

Aer Lingus has several flights per week.

[broken link removed] specialise in diving/sailing holidays.

There's lots of flights from UK as well, if you can't get direct.

edit - Aer Lingus was 650-700 Euro even for weekend flights for 2 people.

I booked via Malev, Hungarian Airlines (via short delay in Budapest) for €420 for 2 people.
