My house is sold and my solicitor has had the money (€330,000) for 9 day to pay off my bridging loan. This is costing me €65 a day. I cannot get a reply from him or his office, What can I do? Should I contact the law Society?

call to the office 9am tommorow morning...

Have you already paid your solicitor? If not, deduct €65 per day they hold onto the money from their bill.

I had to report a solicitor to the Law society as he had £15k in his client account for 9 months that he had been instructed to use to clear a bridging loan. He refused to pay the interest.
I never got any joy from the law society and he never paid the interest.
I chalked it down....

Did you get it sorted? It is quite unacceptable - you are entitled to your money.

If you are continuing to have difficulties, write to solicitor ( deliver letter by hand) and to Law Society seeking an immediate response and an explanation.

In fact, I find the Law Society very quick and very responsive to problems like this.

Thanks all

It is very worrying when no one the solicitors office will talk to you.
I finally got hold of him and give him a good talking to. The bank received the cheque after 9 days, a draft would have been better because it does not have to clear, so he still has it in his account for another 3 working days.
