- no dependants, PPR proceeds and savings should raise €750k
- Reno considerations are with lone parent scenario in mind
- wouldn’t be reducing pension contributions by much as I want to keep putting in what’s needed to get full benefits of ER contributions
- aware invmt prop is a fall back to funding but as I’ll be moving city my plan is to move into the apartment during transition phase and not have the stress of timing purchase and sale closing together, can decide after that if I’ll sell it
- Brendan, you’ve confirmed what I thought, getting a mortgage on a mortgage free house won’t work so I am leaning toward low LTV mortgage for purchase, cash savings to fund work and then assess use of investment prop when settled
