mondeo or passat

Should take delivery of my new Mondeo 1.6 Zetec with Bluetooth and integrated sunblinds in 7 to 10 days. The only apprehension I have is the 1.6 engine powering a ton and a half car. I've read that it is as powerful as the previous 1.8 engine but time will tell. What do you think of the colour - White Grape? Looks great on monitor!

Some times it can feel a litlle sluggish once your over 100kph but overall its a dream to drive. Drove it from Dublin to Portlaois the weekend and it was a pleasure - great driving position and feels like its stuck to the road.

The 1.6 suits our needs but if doing a lot of milage might be better to go for higher bhp, but as a family car no complaints.
