mocad golf trolley batteries

Has anyone had trouble with mocad golf trolley batteries? I have had 4 in six years. The last one was a free replacement which overheated and expired just a year after comparatively low usage. Mocad informed me they do not guarantee free replacements and a new one would cost 90 euros.

If the battery overheated then you have a charger issue.
