I am considering purchasing a mobile home on site, preferably in Co Wexford any information on prices, recommended sites, rules/regulations governing purchasing a mobile home ie heard you might need to upgrade every ten years, annual costs, would be much appreciated

you could keep it cheap & cheerful and get a caravan, a fraction of the price (even if got a new one which are very comfy), also get mobililty around Ireland, foreign travel option.

Especially if you've room to leave it somewhere, either at your own home or somewhere down the country, then should work out a lot cheaper on annual costs.

With the awnings (side tents you can attach) you end up with a lot of accomodation.

Better bang for your buck imho. While a mobile would be more comfortable in off peak seasons, I gather a lot of the parks where you'd leave a mobile arent open then either. Sure have a look at one or two newish caravans before you finalise on a mobile.

Yes many of the sites insit on having a mobile home that is not greater than 10 years old. To make matters worse many of the sites insist that you buy from the site owner and any work that you do to your site has to be carried out by one of the site owners friends. So its quite a money making thing.

If you have the excess cash think you would get good use from the mobile they are a great way to get away during the milder months.
