Missing prescription receipts, can this info be gotten anywhere for tax return?

Hi,

I am just submitting my IT return for 2007 but looking through my drug payment receipts, I see that I definitely have mislaid some. is there some way of getting copies of these receipts so I can make a full claim?

Yes, go to the chemist and ask for a med 1 report for 2007. the person behind the counter should know what you are asking for and if not just specify a list of all prescriptions you got in that chemist during 2007.

You don't need to submit receipts with a MED1 claim but you do need them to vouch for such a claim should Revenue ever ask for them.
