Purchased property with ex girlfriend 7 years ago. She said she wanted the house instead of selling and we agreed to 'sort' it out later that year. Fast forward seven years and the ex missed several payments on the mortgage. We (had to) consoladated the missed payments (4 altogether) back onto the mortgage. She has agreed to sell the house next year but the old mortgage is of course showing up on the ICB. Two questions.
Will that stay there for the next five years?
Is there any chance at all I can apply for a mortgage if I explain our situation or will I get laughed out of the bank?
