Can anyone advise re MIS? Have read that you are only eligible if you are in MARP process for the last 12 months and have stuck to any arrangement made. And they also look at arrears.
We have been in MARP on and off for 3 years however there was a gap of 3 months from 1st July 2012 until I think jan or Feb this year where there was no agreement in place. Banks delay for half that time. We made a full repayment in July then did a SFS and paid interest only manually for 1 month in Oct. we then could not afford to pay anytging and let them know in Jan. Agreement was not in place officially until Feb and we have paid only 100 euro since Oct.
We are approx 3-4 grand in arrears. Anyone know if we will be eligible?
Also DH has been offered 1to 2 days part time work over the summer, approx wage anything from 50 euro to 150 and is casual. What would we put down on form? He hasn't started yet will probably be a few more weeks but need to apply ASAP.

The qualifying conditions for Mortgage Interest Supplement are listed on this page:

The alternative payment arrangement doesn't have to have been in place for a consecutive 12 month period, but you must have complied with whatever arrangements were in place.

If you apply for MIS, enter the details of your current income. Any changes (e.g. casual summer work) should be notified to the SWA officer when they arise. I assume that when your DH starts work in the summer, the amount of jobseeker's payment changes too.
