Hi guys, i got a new mains electrical shower, i am finding the water flow very poor. any advice on wat i can to improve the flow of water?

What power rating is the shower? Is the shower being fed by the mains water supply or a tank in the attic? What is the water pressure like in the rest of the house?

Thanks for the reply. the power rating is 9.8. its been fed by the mains water supply. The water pressure is good around the house. will a pump improve the water flow?

There could be a water saving device fitted in -line in the hose.

9.8 not a lot, if u run the shower colder does the flow increase, if so its a power issue as the water is being heated and not enough juice
if not either the water saver or a partial blockage.

I am assuming that if you have poor water flow then the water is roasting, or failing that then the water flow is so low that the element isn't even switching on. With a rating of nearly 10KW you should be able to get a good shower except maybe on the coldest of days, where the temperature of the incoming water is a lot lower than normal.

As its a new installation, there maybe some debris in the water circuit, try removing the shower head and let the hose hang down and run the shower for a minute or two to see if that clears out any dirt and thus increasing the flow.

And just to add, might be worth checking the filter in the shower, where the water pipe enters it.
