any one know if the welder would weld some box iron to make a gate , nothing fancy , 6 ft long 3 ft high for entrance using some 2 - 4 mm box iron .it is a no gas turbo fan cooled MiG welder , 25 - 130 amps ? any helpful ideas very welcome
Curious, it's not actually a MIG welder as these use gas (Metal-Inert-Gas-Welder).
It would probably serve the purpose you want it for, however, it uses flux cored wire - I don't know how widely available this is when whatever comes with it runs out.
Standard MIG wire will not work with it as it's designed to be used with Argon.
that's the one , have read some info on a site about MiG welding and they talked about gas , this did confuse me ,i shall give it a go would be nice to diy it as even a crap gate would be more expensive than buying this welder and all that's needed . thanks for your reply stevec
