Microsoft Office Home & Student edition 2007

I recently bought the above and installed it. Everytime I open say a word file, it takes about 30 seconds to open because it says "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007". Is this normal or what have I done wrong with the installation of the disc?

Mine doesn't say that. Perhaps uninstall and reinstall?

The main problem I have is remembering to save as 2003-2007 when saving to USB key, as it cannot be read by computer with only 2007 version.

I originally had a trial version on my pc and I uninstalled it before I installed the full bought version.I authenticated it with Microsoft via the internet. If I uninstall and reinstall have I not used the activation code?
