Our AGM is coming up and I want to talk to the other owners in my apartment complex about perhaps replacing the management company. Most of the apartments are rented so I can't contact the owners. I contacted the management company and asked them for the contact details of the other shareholders in the company. They said they will only tell me the names of the people owning each apartment but cannot "under the data protection act" give me contact details for them. Can anyone tell me if this is correct procedure?
Thanks
I wouldn't imagine that this would necessarily need to include contact details such as phone numbers? Wouldn't the management company have a duty to the members under the data protection act, and need their permission to hand out personal info?
I think you mean "replacing the managing agent" as its (presumably) the management company's AGM.Our AGM is coming up and I want to talk to the other owners in my apartment complex about perhaps replacing the management company. ...
