Mercedes Vito minibus. How does the aircon work?

Just bought one of these a couple of days ago but the owner manual is missing. It's a 2003 but the older shape.

There is a push-button knob on the dash for the aircon with a snowflake symbol at the top which is self-explanatory. The 6 o'clock position says 'REST'. What is this? The 9 o'clock position has a couple of swirly lines like a heat symbol. What is this? The 3 o'clock position cancels out all the others.

It doesn't appear to have the Webasto system fitted but I'm wondering if the 'REST' thing is a tertiary heating system like that used in trucks if you have to sleep in it. Any ideas guys? Forgot to ask the previous owner to explain it and I've googled all day to find an online manual without success.
