Mercedes Drivers-side catalytic converter?

Hi,

Where would I get a drivers-side catalytic converter for a 01 mercedes... do I have to go through a dealership or are there other options?

Your best bet would be to trawl the web and find a pattern parts supplier. The only thing is you might need to ship it from UK/USA/Germany etc so that may well put the price back up to a dealer sourced item.

What's the make and model / engine etc?

Thanks Petrolhead for the info. I don't claim to be any kindof mechanical expert but it's a Mercedes E class and as I understand it, it has two v6 engines one of the passenger side and one on the drivers side. I don't think a pattern parts supplier will help in this case although I'm open to correction.

Sounds like you have a W210 with the M112 engine.
