I had one, it was a 2002 and it was the 2L engine instead of the 1.8L Kompressor. To be honest it was a great car to drive (especially with the evolution kit, lower suspension and 17" rims) but the quality you expect for the cost of the car is just not there. I had to get the suspension bushes, traction control air conditioning and radio replaced before there was 20k miles on the car! I had the full length glass roof and it rattled like mad, especially when cold. I eventually sold it on when 18months old and it lost €16K!!! These mercs in particular dont hold their value that well, they are not sporty enough to appeal to the young cash rich guys and not practical enough the appeal to the more mature person. But like I said it was nice to drive and with the right options in the right colour they look good.
