Mercedes 1997 C220 Wiper and Blower problems

Hi, have a 1997 merc and the wiper only works at one speed and does not return to its seat when i turn off the wiper ? i was told it could be the relay or the combination switch but both are costly items any suggestions on how to identify the problem and eliminate one or the other ?

my other problem is with the air blower it works ok but does not work for the windscreen, when in the windscreen position, but no air coming out for the screen ? any ideas ont this also please, thanks again

Just go to a proper mechanic who is experienced merc mechanic and you will be sorted. Looks like your air filter is choked. James roe in Naas is very reasonable.
