Memory 533 MHz or 667 MHz

Hi,

I'm buying a dell laptop and getting Intel core 2 duo processor T5500 (1.66 GHz, 2MML2 cache, 667 MHz FSB), should i get matching memory for 10 euro more (1024 MB 667 Mhz dual channel DDR2 SDRAM) or take 533 Mhz as on offer...does this matter

I'd suggest putting the model no. into Crucial's Memory Advisor tooland seeing what's recommended.

I agree - don't by memory other than if you are certain that it is compatible with your machine. And don't buy slower memory than your machine can take if you can avoid it.

this is for a new machine with RAM from dell, so compatability isn't an issue. don't bother with Crucial - for my machine it recomments 1 Gb @ 533 or 2 Gb @ 667
