Can someone please tell me why there are no profile pictures on the members list?
Also may I add?..................While reading the Posting guidelines I noticed the american spelling on paragraphs 7&13 (criticize/criticise) and recognize/recognise).....................is this someting to do with the .com?...uh!

In the past I have consulted the Collins dictionary in relation to variations in spelling like these and found both spellings to be acceptable and no reference was made to any American origin.

In my Oxford dictionary:-ize 4 affect with ,provide with,or subject to (oxidize;hospitalize).The form -ize has been in use in English since the 16th c.; it is widely used in American English, but is not an Americanism.
