I am completing a form 11E for 2008 and have a question about medical expenses.

1. Am I correct in including the expenses on the 11E but not submitting a Form Med 1.
2. The Med 1 I found on the Revenue website refers to deductions of €125/€250. am I correct in thinking this deduction no longer applies?
3. I have 2 form Med 2's in relation to 2008. I believe these shouldn't be submitted but held by me. Am I correct in this?

I've done a search of the taxation forum but didn't find the answers to these.

1. Neither the 11E nor the helpsheet on the 11E requests a Med 1, however on the full Form 11 the Med 1 is incorporated in the form so the detailed breakdown of expenses is shown. I am not certain on this as far as concerns the 11E but I would be inclined to attach the Med 1 also with the 11E and refer to it on the form. If not needed they will understand.

2. Correct. The €125/250 excesses no longer apply.

3. Correct. Retain and do not submit unless requested.
