However, if you're in any doubt, apply, particularly if you have a significant disability, or serious illness...The worst that can happen is that they say 'No'...
As you do not say what other income you have from pensions etc. it would be impossible to give even a good guess. Also you do not state single or married????????
Remember it is the interest only on savings that is taken into account togther with other income.
If you have or can obtain certificates of interest from the financial inatitutions they are expected, or as a friend of mine did, sent in a copy of his P21 or notice of assessment from the revenue with the application form.
My policy has always been, if in doubt apply anyhow
