Medical Card application

Hi All,
My DH has been claiming unemployment assistance(prsi contributions) since last year. This will be running out in the next few weeks, we will not get the benefit as we exceed the means test limits.
I was looking today at the online calculator for the medical card, we will qualify for the gp visit card when dh stops receiving jobseekers but what I want to know is will they take his earnings from last year into account or do they judge it on your earnings at the moment. Dont want to waste the time filling in the forms if this is the case.

By the way it appears your DH is on Jobseekers Benefit at present as it is PRSI based.

As regards GP visit card you will need to give them last years income as requested but also the income in "the changed circumstances" and reasons for same ie. loss of employment from....date.
