MED1 Form - can we submit after Form 12

I just read in yesterday's Sunday Business Post that the total to be claimed under MED 1 form for 2006 must also be submitted in Form 12 which we complete annually. I had hoped to submit the MED 1 form afterwards as have discovered absense of some receipts and info about GP visits so need more time to obtain these from the surgery. Will we be barred from claiming later if we do not submit a figure (which may be incorrect) now please?

No

btw, don't believe half of what you read about tax in the SBP. Although they don't normally get their facts wrong, they are fond of quoting things out of context.

Thanks, relieved to hear it. Yes there has been plenty of scaremongering in the press in recent weeks. Thank God it will soon be over for another year.
