hi tere

got some dental work done last year, have the med 1 form at home, what do i need to do to submit it?

any ideas how long it takes to process?

For dental expenses relief you will need to submit a [broken link removed] form. [broken link removed] should explain what's required.

For dental work you need a ned2 form (downoadable from www.revenue.ie). You need to keep your receipts safe, but don't need to send them. Revenue will send a cheque in approx 4 weeks.

Re: Med forms

For any tax reclaim or review it's usually no harm, and may expedite things, to include a copy of one's P60 for the relevant years.

Re: Med forms

I have a considerable amount on some dental work,What percentage of this can i claim back using the med 2 form.

Re: Med forms

hi gary

if it's cosmetic ie not basic work like cleaning or fillings you can claim back at the rate of tax you pay

Re: Med forms

Hi Gar, yes it was cosmetic work,Implants and crowns.

My standard wage is just at the top of the 20% tax rate scale so any overtime i do is taxed at the higher rate of 48%.

I earn about 25% extra p.a with overtime.
Will i be able to claim 75% of the cost at 20% and 25% of the cost at 48%?

Cheers
Gary
