Can anyone tell me the rate i.e. hourly for a fitter / electrician working a weekend 12 hr shift?

A qualified electrician earns around €500 for 12 hours on a Sunday, €460 on a Saturday (plus expenses).

Overtime (1.5hrs pay/1hr) for first 4hrs on a Saturday, then double time for the remainder of the day/night, double time all day Sunday. I can't remember the current craftsman rates, but you should be able to find them on the SIPTU website.
