A Co Meath travel company has ceased trading with immediate effect.
Customers who have current bookings with Dunne & King Travel Limited of Main Street in Dunboyne should contact the relevant airline, ferry company or travel provider to establish the status of their booking.
Anyone who purchased overseas travel from the company and wishes to claim refunds for any money that had not been passed on to the suppliers may do so from the Commission for Aviation Regulation.
Chief Executive of the Irish Travel Agents Association Simon Nugent explained the retail agency employed three people.
'There are, we understand, a very small number of customers with forward bookings (perhaps 20) where claims for refunds to a total value estimated at about €35,000 may arise,' he said.
'There is no risk that consumers will be stranded overseas or left out of pocket
