measuring curtains

hello. bit of a boring question but hoping someone will know. trying to buy ready made curtains for my new house. we need curtains that are 300 cms wide. do the sizes on these ready made curtain packs indicate the full width or just one half of the pair enclosed ( i.e will they say 300 cms or 150 cms wide)? have tried asking several shop assistants but they stare blankly at me.

I think the pack widths refer to the width of each individual curtain. Note that you will often need to buy curtains wider than half the window width especially if the style is such that you want some "body" when the curtains are pulled. (Not sure if I'm making sense there!).
