I had an mbna credit card,it expired on 02/06.
They didn't send me a new card after 02/06 because i had missed a few payments but most of the time i payed the minimum due.
I have an outstanding balance which i'm still paying and have just noticed they are still charging payment protection insurance.
Is this right that they can do this?I know i have to pay what i owe but surley the actual credit agreement ended at 02/06.
I would really appreciate if any of you can shed some light on this.

Payment protection insurance is an entirely separate entity. You must have agreed to it when you opened the account...you didn't have to. Call them and cancel the insurance. It seems this was not explained fully to you. Apparently I agreed to payment protection insurance with them too (news to me!!) I called, cancelled, looked for a rebate and got it.

I did agree to it but i thought my policy would have stoped on 02/06.

I'm going to cancel it on monday, better late than never.
Thanks for your reply liteweight.
