I was hoping somebody could help me figure this out before I ring MBNA. I was on 9 months interest free with MBNA ending June this year.
My June statement had a balance of 3680.87 to be paid by 13/07/2010.
So I recevied my July statement it looks like below -
23/06/2010 23/06/2010 PAYMENT - THANK YOU €50.00CR
05/07/2010 05/07/2010 PAYMENT - THANK YOU €450.00CR
07/07/2010 07/07/2010 PAYMENT - THANK YOU €2,850.00CR
12/07/2010 12/07/2010 PAYMENT - THANK YOU €330.87CR
13/07/2010 14/07/2010 GOVERNMENT TAX 2010/2011 €30.00
15/07/2010 15/07/2010 INTEREST CHARGED €29.68
Why am I being charged Interest if I cleared the balance of 3680.87 within the time allowed??
The government tax was charged as I closed my account with them so was expecting this but not the interest?
Am i missing something obvious with this?
