Hi Folks

Is there a table somewhere with the maximum age for all the lenders?

An associated question - do lenders give mortgages in years and months or just years (rounded down?)

thanks

Is this any help?

I enquired from Ulster bank recently and they would not go beyond my work-end date which was 67. Kbc seem to have a cut off of 68.

Thanks for the replies - does anyone know what the max age for avant money is?

70. But I haven't got the full criteria around that. You probably need to be allowed to work until that age, or have a good pension.

I'll post detail if I find it.

Does any lender allow some kind of frontloading?

Like half the mortgage on a term that takes you to 65 and other half til 70.

My understanding is that Ulster Bank will go to 70 if the borrower is a member of a pension scheme.

Regarding UB, they refused me a mortgage last year up to age 68 even tho I had a pension at 67 and lump sum that would have easily cleared the last years mortgage cost.
