U usia Guest 30 Mar 2007 #3 Hi Again I am working at the moment, but I am considering all options. What I understand is that I am entitled to: Maternity benefit - 26 weeks benefit subject to certain conditions. Child benefit - about €160 euro regardless my employment status What I am trying to find out is would I be entitled to any kind of benefits if I actually decide to stay at home with a child? Also, is it true that children up to 6 are entitled to free health service?

Might be worth checking CitizensInformation for info on [broken link removed] generally and [broken link removed] specifically.
