maternity leave

Hi how are you....my name is Cristina and I'm pregnant in 6 months and the shop where I was working just closed down..... can I still apply for maternity leave? ..I worked for almost 3 years and the owner of the shop just rang me and said that is closing and that the account is gonna ring me and sort out all the paper work? What can I do? Thank you

You can go straight on to maternity benefit as long as you are 24 weeks pregnant or more (assuming you have the PRSI contributions).
