Hi All,
I have looked throught the trends and I was wondering if anybody can answer the following for me, I have email the maternity ben yesterday but no answer, yes I could imagine they are backlogged, here is my questions any feedback is appricated
1) If my wife was to go on Maternity leave in 2008 is the relevant tax Year 2006 that at least 39 weeks PRSI must be paid, same applies for 2009 is this the case for 2007?
2) My Wife is currently on Jobseekers Benefit at the moment does this cover her PRSI? or because she is not working at the moment will she not be entitled to Maternity Benefit?
3) My Wife may have a position of an apprentice hairdresser employment which is four years training, with such low payments say for example her first year her income will be approx 259.00euros per week, does low incomes cover her stamps/PRSI payments if she went on Maternity Leave at a later stage in life, example is there a min or max amount of PRSI that must be paid in order to qualify for Maternity Benefit?
Thanks...
