My Wife has been out of work for a few Months, she is pregnant and due in October.
She has been working for several years (15 +) without a break up until a few Months ago. She is on job seekers benefit, but has been unable to get a job as its not that easy being pregnant ( she has applied for several positions). This is the first time she has ever claimed anything off the state.
Although she has enough stamps paid in the relevant tax year, she does not qualify for maternity benefit as her last stamp paid is not within 16 weeks of her due date. She needs 1 stamp to qualify.
Does anybody know if there is anyway around this...she is still looking for short term work..but is getting nowhere ..is it possible to buy this stamp?
if she gets on a fas course will this qualify her?
